A student violin made in Germany isn't a relic of the past. With modern technical efficiencies and good old German know-how, the Hofner HOF-5 model is a great step-up violin that uses fully solid, lightly-flamed maple and aged spruce and a shaded golden-brown spirit varnish. This crisp, clean modern look is a refreshing alternative for some customers to more heavy "antiquing". Includes ebony pegs and endbutton, Despiau "C" level French bridge, ebony tailpiece with E tuner, Guarneri model ebony chinrest, and Thomastik Dominant A, D, & G strings with Pirastro Gold Label E (loop end). 4/4, 3/4, & 1/2 sizes available.
