A quality student cello made in Germany isn't a relic of the past. With modern technical efficiencies and good old German know-how, the H?fner HOF-5 model is a great step-up cello that uses fully solid, lightly-flamed maple and aged spruce and a shaded golden-brown spirit varnish. This crisp, clean modern look is a refreshing alternative for some customers to more heavy "antiquing". Ebony pegs, endpin, Despiau "C" level French bridge, Wittner tailpiece. Adjusted with D'Addario Helicore strings. 4/4 & 3/4 sizes.
