Crafted with better tonewoods, hand-graduated to produce more resonant acoustic properties, the K550 model is well suited for players who desire an open sound with big projection, medium-voice, rich tone throughout. Quick and easy response. Well-flamed, seasoned maple and choice spruce. Medium satin, red-brown to gold-brown finish. Ebony Parisian eye pegs and endbutton, Despiau "C" level bridge, ebony tailpiece, Guarneri model ebony chinrest, Thomastik Dominant A, D, & G strings with Pirastro Gold Label E (loop end E). 4/4, 3/4 & 1/2 sizes available. (Fractional sizes set up with Dominant E.) 3/4 & 1/2 sizes are by special order only.
